An Agri-Eco-Tourism Park (AETP) has been developed in the institute which was inaugurated on the Institute’s foundation day 1st October, 2023 by Dr. S.K. Chaudhari, Deputy Director General (NRM), ICAR. The park is spread over 8 ha area and distributed into 32 blocks. The blocks consist of around 150 plant species of arid vegetation, local tree species, medicinal plants, cacti and succulents, fruit plant, plants of Mexican origin, perennial grasses, ornamental shrubs, fibre and natural gum resin plants.

The sand dune block provides the overview of checkerboard technique of sand dune stabilization developed by the institute. A know-your-soil section in the park consists of soil profile brought from different parts of the country to educate the visitors about different soil types, their nature and properties. The park has been opened for general public and guided tours are conducted regularly for groups of school and college students.

How to visit Visiting time: from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM in each working day and the duration of each visit shall be limited to 1 hour. The AETP will be remained close on Sundays and public holidays. Booking: Visiting time slot needs to be booked one week in advance through email Entry charges: Entry to the AETP is allowed only after production of payment receipt of the visit charges made at the ATIC of the institute.
